Historic Fort Mackinac: Explore the Mackinac attraction

Historic Fort of Mackinac is a historic park and one of the attractions in Mackinac island worth to visit if you're in the island.It has a great  view from the top and you had the chance to see the panoramic view of Mackinac Island.


Historic Fort Mackinac is one of the best and well maintained historic sites that travelentz.com visited. The exhibits were large and has an inter-active role playing-drills and firing demonstrations it has court martial reenactment were the interpreter dressed from 18th century  the  soldiers with the metal spike atop their helmets.



 Tips:Fort Mackinac has a lot of walking and steps, if you're not capable to walk for an hour or do the steps this is not worth for your tour so don't waste your time. Remember it's not  accessible for handicapped , stroller must be carry if you're in the steps or needs two person like what we did for our little one.




If you want to eat the best place is the tea room if you're inside the Fort Mackinac, it is small room and has a great view of the harbor.

2nd birthday with Dora Theme

Little "m' celebrates her 2nd birthday with  Dora Theme. I'll be honest celebrating birthday's sometime  is hard ;a new mom and a new place. I dunno where sometimes to order and what kind of food I have to prepare.Base on my experienced it depends who is your invited guests in the party. Last August Little "m" turns 2 and has a huge milestone to write and to tell. Every day is especial for us:her smiles, her languages that makes us laugh and being goofy all the time.

The truth is I have a toddler, who amaze us when she constructs her own sentences and have a good vocabulary. Then, she loves to watch her movie especially DORA. I decided to have a DORA theme in her birthday since we celebrated at the park.


Developments of little "M"
a. knows how to use IPAD and play her own games and play the NETFLIX.( as her b-day presents).
b. knows what she wants to watch and play.
c. pretend she is talking to the phone but doesn't want to talk in cellphone with "G".

I bought the Dora Balloon and  made it the Dora centerpiece balloons flowers by myself and put it in the table.All the presents in the left side is courtesy by in-laws...so Thankful all the gifts.

 I decided to  made the balloons flowers since we are in the pavilion at the park as my decorations during  the day.
She had 2 dora cakes, first we celebrated her birthday in the park near we stayed now and the second cake is in my in-laws place.

A glimpse of Arch of Rock in Mackinac Island

A glimpse of Arch of Rock in Mackinac Island is an amazing formation rock. We went there with hubby after our tour in Fort Mackinac. If you are inside the Fort Mackinac you can go out at the backside which is only 1/2 mile by foot to see this Arch of Rock.We got to see it from the top and bottom, and both are amazing. You should go to see this rock if you are visiting the Mackinac Island.

Arch Rock is a limestone formation of several hundred feet above the shores of Lake Huron. Approximately half mile from downtown.



There are 3 ways to see the arch of rock if you are in Mackinac Island.
1. take the carriage
2. rent a bike
3. by foot

Travel Tips: Cars is not allowed in Mackinac Island, Bring your own bike to save more money if you are planning to see the islands and easy to escape from the crowd. Renting bikes is paid by an hour. During summer the island is so busy and crowded, so keep on eye with your kids all the time and most of all don't forget to bring your camera,be patient to take pictures of the arch of rock so many people during our tour.

Family tour in Loretta Lynn Ranch

Our family  tour in Loretta Lynn Ranch is another weekend day trip. We knew this Loretta lynn Ranch through the travel ghost adventures, hehhehe..well my hubby likes this TV ghost series..

Our tour began at  Loretta House replica  followed to Butcher Holler Home Place and a simulated coal mine and the Plantation Tour Loretta House. The tour guide is informative and  explained to us about th e history  and we asked him if he is the one who lockdown during the  travel ghost adventures and if there's a paranormal activity in the Loretta house?hehheheh....well this well be answer if you have the chance to visit the place, don't forget to ask?



Who is Loretta Lynn? is an American country music singer-songwriter, author and philanthropist.

During our tour, taking pictures inside the house is not allowed; just enjoy some of photos outside the house.

Things to do in Loretta Lynn ranch:

1. Playground zone for kids.

This is the house of Loretta lynn which is one of the haunted house in Tennessee.Loretta Lynn just moved to other house, behind this house.


We ended up walking and enjoying the beautiful town of Hurricane Mills and took a some  photos. Loretta Lynn not only bought the house, but the entire town. This is a  beautiful place,where you don't want to leave when you are here.If you want a country lifestyle this place would amaze you.
